Principle 1 – When it comes to leash training for dogs it is best to choose an area that your dog is familiar with, say your own garden. You need to remember that it is natural for dogs to want to explore and things will go a great deal easier for them and you if they are not being tempted to do this.
Principle 2 – Initially when things go well do not only reward them with saying something but by offering them a treat. Then over time whenever they perform the task that you ask for them do not provide them with treats as often. In fact you will find that your dog will be more than happy to receive your words than treats. But should they do something wrong do not use punishment to correct them as they will only become more stubborn and getting them to do what you wish will prove difficult.
Principle 3 – Finally when it comes to leash training for dogs make sure that you do not carry out the sessions for too long. However in the beginning carry them out on a frequent basis.
